Great classroom/homeschooling resource!

I purchased this book to use in my private educational therapy practice and fell in love with the series! I have now acquired other levels, the vocabulary, books, and the skimming/scanning books. The book consists of various short passages of different genres with a given word count for timing, a comprehension section, inferential questions, and vocabulary. The passages are interesting, the questions quite appropriate, and the entire drill entertaining. My students have enjoyed reading them, listening to them, and writing responses to them. They increase in dificulty as students' ability increases. I have found this series extremely easy to use--and not rejected by my students!
If I were going to make a complaint, it would be that there is not an answer key. However, this way actually allows for more interaction with students as they justify their responses and you can see how their reasoning might diverge from yours.
This inxpensive resource can be used over and over again--I highly recommend it!
