About the Author
CHARLES M. SCHWAB (1862-1939) joined Carnegie Steel in 1879 and became president when he was 35, working closely with Andrew Carnegie.
He sold the company to J.P. Morgan, and became president of Morgan's new corporation, U.S. Steel. Schwab later ran Bethlehem Steel, a company known for its efficiency and competitiveness.
During World War I, Schwab became Director-General of the Emergency Fleet Corporation for the U.S. government.

Oh, What Could [Should] Have Been

"Succeeding With What You Have" by Charles M. Schwab does have some inspirational value for the two hours it will take to read it. However, in a broader sense, it is a distinct disappointment that one of America's foremost industrialists of the early 20th Century should not have left us with more insight as to his legendary "people skills." Quoted several times in Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People," one would expect a lot more depth and insight than these 62 short pages. Though a checklist item for both the tenderfoot and advanced student of leadership.

This was the "GO TO" Man!

This book is incredible! Charles Schwab use to make $75,000.00 a year when most people were happy to make $1200.00 yearly. He also received on many occasions a $1 Million bonus because he new how to manage people so well. Anything he has to say is well worth reading!

If you can go back in time and have and have Charles Schwab talk to about success for a half hour that would be pricless. Thats what you get with this little booklet. While much of can be said to be common sense, we all know common sense isn't very common! Worth it small weight in gold!
