The most relatable presentation ever! I am privileged to be one lucky visiting nurse. I have committed the last 38 years to end of life care in my community. I wish every doctor, nurse, all health care people would view this presentation. Barbara has brought us all her gifts and experience and explains the process perfectly. All viewers and caregivers and mostly the patient will come away with an understanding of end of life care . This should been mandatory viewing in every hospital and any health care program Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ACP Rn Ms CHPN Wilton Ct.

There are no words, in any language, that can fully describe the inspirational compassion Barbara Karnes, RN speaks/talks/discusses on how to understand and embrace end of life care and the process a body enters in their final stages of life. Or as Barbara would say, their final stages of living. I have now watched this DVD 15 times and am so inspired to have the Medical Community of Las Vegas watch this video as part of our education in the hospitals as well as the staff of my employment, Infinity Hospice Care. My dream is to get Barbara Karnes to Vegas to do a community wide education on end of life care over a CEU lunch inservice for all admission staff's, case managers, social workers and physicians to attend and learn something we all lack here in Vegas. The understand of birth, living and death. This DVD teaches us it is ok what the body experiences and the symptoms a person goes through in the final stages of life. And it is ok. I love Barbara and testify she is a true angel from above for us in the medical arena. If Barbara ever reads this, COME TO VEGAS! I will buy your ticket!

A WISE AND INFORMATIVE LOOK AT THE DYING PROCESS

Barbara Karnes has demystified the dying process in this very helpful DVD, New Rules for End of Life Care, and in doing so, she leaves one with a sense of calm in the face of what most of us regard as a terrifying and unknown state.
Her soothing demeanor helps us to understand and believe that we can, indeed, provide a caring and peaceful end of life experience for those who are in need. Also included with this DVD are the invaluable Gone From My Sight and The Eleventh Hour guidebooks. All of these materials are user friendly, and so easy to understand. The Henry Van Dyke story has always been a favorite, and it brings me peace each time I read it. It's inclusion is appropriate and leaves one with a sense of love and hopefulness.
I would highly recommend this powerful and compassionate DVD and the helpful accompanying materials.
